SOCIAL MEDIA & INFLUENCER POLICY

PREMIER HAIR respects every client's right to share their genuine experience.

Our requirement for written consent applies to filming and promotional/content-creation activity on our premises — not to control genuine consumer opinions or preventing clients from leaving honest reviews.

By attending PREMIER HAIR, clients agree to respect the privacy of other clients, our team and the operation of the salon.

1. Filming during your appointment

Clients are welcome to capture reasonable personal content during their appointment, provided that:

  • filming does not disrupt the appointment or interfere with the work of the stylist;

  • other clients, staff or members of the public are not recorded without their consent;

  • confidential business information, internal processes or private client information is not captured;

  • filming does not obstruct or interfere with other appointments; and

  • PREMIER HAIR staff may ask that filming cease where it is interfering with the operation of the salon or the privacy or comfort of another person.

2. Influencer and promotional content

If you intend to attend PREMIER HAIR specifically to create content for your public social media platform as an influencer, content creator, reviewer or other promotional purpose, written consent from PREMIER HAIR must be obtained before filming takes place.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • planned reviews or review-style videos;

  • brand collaborations;

  • promotional reels or TikToks;

  • YouTube or other long-form content;

  • professional photography or videography;

  • content involving extensive filming of the appointment or salon;

  • interviews with PREMIER HAIR or its team; and

  • content that represents or implies an official collaboration, partnership or endorsement by PREMIER HAIR.

Written consent must be obtained before the appointment and should clearly identify the intended content and platform.

Approval to film is not an agreement that PREMIER HAIR has approved, endorsed or agrees with the content or opinions expressed.

3. Genuine reviews and opinions

PREMIER HAIR does not require clients to provide positive reviews and does not condition the provision of services on a client providing a favourable review.

Clients remain entitled to provide genuine and honestly held opinions about their experience with PREMIER HAIR, whether positive, negative or mixed.

Nothing in this policy is intended to prevent, restrict or discourage a client from exercising their rights under the Australian Consumer Law or from expressing a genuine opinion about their experience.

4. Influencer disclosures

Influencers must not represent an incentivised or commercial review as an entirely independent recommendation where that would create a misleading impression.

Any review or promotional content must accurately reflect the influencer's genuine experience and must not contain claims that are false, misleading or unable to be substantiated.

5. PREMIER HAIR brand and intellectual property

Permission to film does not automatically grant permission to use PREMIER HAIR's:

  • logo; trademarks; branding; proprietary materials; internal documents; training materials; business processes; or other intellectual property for commercial purposes.

Any proposed commercial use of PREMIER HAIR's branding or intellectual property must be agreed to separately in writing.

6. Other clients and privacy

For the privacy and comfort of all clients, no client may intentionally film, photograph or publish identifiable footage of another PREMIER HAIR client without that person's consent.

This includes incidental footage where another client's face, conversation, personal information or appointment can reasonably be identified.

7. Content does not require PREMIER HAIR approval

Where a client has independently created content based on their genuine experience, PREMIER HAIR does not require the client to obtain approval of their opinion or review before publishing it.

However, where PREMIER HAIR has provided written consent for planned influencer or promotional filming, that consent relates to permission to film on the premises and/or participate in the agreed content only. It does not constitute an agreement that PREMIER HAIR must approve or endorse the resulting content.

8. Misleading or unlawful content

PREMIER HAIR reserves the right to take appropriate action where content:

  • falsely represents an association, sponsorship or endorsement by PREMIER HAIR; contains demonstrably false statements presented as fact; unlawfully uses another person's image or private information; infringes PREMIER HAIR's intellectual property; reveals confidential information; or otherwise breaches applicable laws.

Nothing in this policy prevents PREMIER HAIR from responding to, reporting or taking appropriate action in relation to content that is unlawful or genuinely misleading.

9. Consent is specific to the proposed content

Written permission to film is granted on a case-by-case basis and may specify:

  • the date of filming; the areas of the salon in which filming may occur; the people who may be filmed; the platforms on which content may be published; the nature of the content; and any agreed commercial or collaborative arrangements.

Permission to film for one appointment does not create an ongoing right to film at future appointments.

10. Breach of Filming & Content Creation Policy

Where filming or content creation occurs without the required written permission, materially interferes with the operation of PREMIER HAIR, compromises the privacy of another person, or results in content that is materially misleading or falsely represents PREMIER HAIR, its services, staff or relationship with the creator, PREMIER HAIR may require the client to immediately cease filming and/or request that the relevant content be removed or amended from associated social media platforms.

A breach of this policy may also result in PREMIER HAIR taking further action where appropriate.

Nothing in this policy is intended to prevent or restrict a client's rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including the right to express a genuine and honestly held opinion about their experience with PREMIER HAIR.
